Hi Joss, we were just made aware of this a few weeks back but our studio is in the process of moving so we haven’t been able to make much progress on this. We’re hoping to have it updated sometime in the next few weeks.
Thanks,
ReggieSorry but I don’t get notifications for some reason when people post here. If this is still occurring, I would press and hold options to recalibrate once you’re in VR mode. If the headset is too far out of range, it will not let you move as it thinks you’re trying to cheat. If you could post a video of it happening, that would help as well.
Yes, it was unintentional but it’s been fixed. Thanks for the feedback.
Thanks, we noticed that but it seemed to clear up after a few patches. It may have been related to the early framerate issues.
Oh, you’re referring to the blinders. Those are required by Sony to help prevent motion sickness in some players. You can turn them off. Just go to Options -> VR Options and click the button “Disable Blinders”. The reason you lose sight of the soldiers is if your head gets into geometry. This is to keep people from cheating by looking through walls. We’re going to remove it as it seems unnecessary and triggers too often. Thanks for the feedback!
Thanks for all the feedback! I didn’t get a chance to respond to much this past week but now that the beta is over, I’m able to respond to everyone and gather up the comments. Yes, the framerate was pretty bad at the start but got a little better after a few patches. It’s our top priority and we’ve already made some progress there. Thanks for reporting the problem with the sliders, we’ll get that fixed. Thanks for the detailed info on Skyrim’s controls. It seems like everyone likes their scheme the best and we’re planning to get rid of the two modes and just go with a single move control scheme. We’re planning to drop the 2 handed holding of the rifles so hopefully that along with the single mode, the Moves will be much easier to use. Yea, unfortunately we didn’t have time to do a proper tutorial on the BR mode. We’re making a number of changes to that mode and are planning to let people to choose that separately from regular battle modes.
Thanks again for all the feedback!
Hey, glad you enjoyed it. The medic auto-heals nearby teammates right now but we’ll probably change that soon. You’ll soon be able to call a medic and they’ll be alerted to you’re needing help. The plan is for you to get a slow healing when near to one but if they manually heal you, it will go much quicker. I haven’t seen a case of the background sounds still playing after they were turned off. That setting doesn’t affect the planes or the large guns on the beach. I’m wondering if you were hearing the aircraft shooting at other. While we could turn that off as well, at some point when players are able to fly planes, you’ll have the same issue when they shoot.
Thanks for the feedback. It’s great to hear you enjoyed it and we appreciate you helping to spread the word!
Ok, finally found out what was happening. It had to do with the Heavy and Engineer class when playing in VR. In VR mode, both of those classes couldn’t jump due to the way the character parameters were set. It should be fixed in the next patch. Thanks for reporting this!
I believe I was in the match with you when this was happening. I’ll take a look and see if I can see anything that could cause this but glad you got it fixed!
Hey Matt, sorry but I didn’t get a notification you posted this. I need to check the forum settings so sorry about the really late response. The open beta started back up yesterday and will run through the end of the month. Hope you get a chance to check it out.
Thanks for all the feedback. We’ll post updates as we make progress on things.
Thanks for the feedback. We’re working on the bug list from all the feedback and wasn’t sure what you meant about scrolling through the map and it comes out as a telescoping sight. Could you elaborate on that some?
I just wanted to let you know this should be fixed now. Thanks for letting us know how it was happening.
Thanks for all the feedback. We’re a bit overwhelmed at the moment with feedback so I don’t have time for a detailed response. Just know that we read everything and are incorporating a lot of things people are suggesting. There will be a number of fixes coming in the next few days so stay tuned and definitely let us know what you want to see. Thanks!
