February 2013 Updates

Updates

Although website updates have been lacking, we’ve been working hard behind the scenes. Our main focus is getting the much overdue Paintball War update finished and then possibly updating Zombie Strippers. The Paintball War update is coming along nicely but the new map introduced some challenges for our existing AI routing code. The AI’s never quite routed very well and this new map required some significant changes to the routing code. Fortunately, our friends over Sick Kreations just ported some open source AI code to XNA and were kind enough to release it to the public. While we’ll eventually write our own Nav Path routines, this port will allow us to get the update out much quicker. The good news is that once this is in place, the AI will chase you much better around the original map and be able to follow you up on buildings.

We also have several games in the planning stages at the moment and one currently in development. Our next game in development will be announced shortly and should be a quick game that will hopefully be out in March at the latest. It’s mostly working at the moment and mainly needs just art assets made such as character models and animations. After this game releases, we’re looking at either doing an Avatar adventure type game or a sequel to Avatar Air Wars that introduces ground vehicles.
